Dr. Edward Lewis’ journey into the world of chiropractic care and holistic health began long before his formal education. Growing up in Temple Hills, Maryland, he was always fascinated by the human body and its incredible ability to heal itself. His curiosity led him to pursue a bachelor’s degree in exercise science at Saint Augustine’s University in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he delved deep into understanding the mechanics of movement and the importance of physical health.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Lewis’ passion for health and wellness guided him into Life University, where he furthered his studies to become a doctor of chiropractic. During his time in health school, he learned how to help people achieve optimal health without the reliance on medications or invasive procedures. He graduated in December 2008, proudly receiving his doctoral degree in chiropractic, marking the beginning of his professional journey.
Dr. Lewis joined Arrowhead Clinic in Decatur, Georgia, where he began to make a significant impact. He emphasizes a holistic approach to health, combining chiropractic care with nutritional guidance. His philosophy is simply to repair the body to restore its full function, rather than merely treating symptoms.
One of the unique aspects of Dr. Lewis’ practice is his certification in spinal manipulation under anesthesia (MUA), which is a specialized procedure that allows him to restore neurological function and improve extremity range of motion in patients with severe musculoskeletal issues. Through this advanced technique, he has helped many patients find relief and improved mobility through MUA.
